Service Area: Lake County, Illinois
Lake County has 49 municipalities and about 718,600 people. We are based in Gurnee and work projects across the county, and up the corridor into southeast Wisconsin.
Lake County is the third largest county in Illinois, with a county seat in Waukegan and 49 separate municipalities between the lakefront and the Wisconsin line. Our shop sits in Gurnee, on the I-94/US-41 corridor, which puts most of the county within a reasonable service radius.
Travel time in Lake County isn’t uniform. North-south movement on I-94 and US-41 is fast: Waukegan is about 6 minutes from our door, North Chicago and Zion aren’t much farther. East-west travel is a different story. Lake County has no east-west expressway, so getting from Gurnee to Mundelein, Vernon Hills or Grayslake means signaled surface roads: IL-132, IL-120, IL-60, IL-21, IL-83. A trip that measures 12 to 19 miles on a map can run 20 to 35 minutes in real traffic. We plan site visits, deliveries and installation schedules around that, not around straight-line distance.
That geography also means we work with facility managers and contractors in specific project types by sub-area: healthcare and county government concentrated around Waukegan, corporate campuses and light industrial clustered south around North Chicago and the Amazon-anchored parks, and school districts, senior living and municipal buildings spread through the interior of the county.
